Massive Rose Rose Shop & Tester Korea Asian Beauty Haul!

Last month, both Rose Rose Shop and Tester Korea had some decent sales – and TK in particular had the coveted SU:M37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick in stock for only $3 markup over retail – so I ended up splurging big time. The boxes arrived within two days of each other, so the end result was a gigantic Asian beauty haul! Between this and my upcoming Memeboxes, I’m pretty much set with buying new skincare stuff for awhile, I think. I also included a lot of sample packs in both orders so that I could try a bunch of new items without breaking the bank (or risking a bunch of dud products), so I’ll have a lot to review in the upcoming months even if I manage to stick to my skincare no-buy plans for the rest of the year!

A few things are missing (like my OST Vitamin C serum, as I’d already opened it and forgot to pull it out of the fridge for pictures) or my Skinfood Trouble Clear Spot Patches as I’d already used up half the box by the time I decided to do this haul post. But you can still see that this was a big batch of beauty! I’m very excited as I managed to get some items that I’d really been ogling for months for really nice prices.

Let’s take a look at all the goodies after the cut!

I am trying to get into the habit of using my mask products more often – I tend to be really forgetful about using them even when I love their effects. So for that reason, I only bought two new sheet mask types, since I still have boxes of My Beauty Diary Sake Yeast and Cherry Blossom masks, as well as the Skinfood Glacier Water Sheet Masks, the Sephora Green Tea Sheet Mask from this haul, and the Mermaid Sheet Mask from Luckybox #9. I know some people could burn through that in like two weeks, but I barely remember to use on sheet mask each week so it’s a big backlog for me! Plus I still use my wash-off masks more than anything (I just replaced my Boscia mask with Tony Moly’s Latte Art Milk-Cacao Pore Pack as well as bought a few sample packets of Skinfood’s Strawberry Black Sugar Mask that I’ve only used once so far!) so I’m trying to resist and not create a massive black hole of masks in my bathroom, you know? It’s hard, though, there are just sooo many kinds that I want to try!

This time, my sheet mask purchases were Etude House’s Aloe Moistfull Mask Sheet (for soothing any inflamed reactions, breakouts, or stressed skin issues that may crop up over the winter) and Holika Holika’s Rosy Peach Tea Mask Sheet (meant to be clarifying, and I’m just a sucker for peach, tea, and rose in skincare and/or body products, so I really had no chance here – it’s a good thing that the Milk Tea variant was OOS, because that one would have been a must-buy for me too, tbh). I’d been eyeing Holika Holika’s tea sheet mask line for quite some time, so I was really thrilled that they were included in the RRS sale!

Apparently I was really thirsty or something, because… are you noticing a trend here in my selections? First a tea mask, and here we have:

Skinfood Peach Sake Pore Serum Samples x10
Skinfood Steam Milk Bubble Mask
Skinfood Honey Black Tea Cleansing Oil
Skinfood Good Afternoon Honey Black Tea BB Cream Samples x10

…all based on various drinks, haha. I’ve heard such good things about the entire Skinfood Peach Sake line, particularly the serum, so I jumped at the chance to get some samples. Similarly, I’ve seen raves about all the Skinfood cleansing oils (I currently use and love the Black Sugar Cleansing Oil, but it’s almost empty and the Honey Black Tea variant was the other one that I reallly wanted to try) so it was easy for me to justify snagging the Honey Black Tea Cleansing Oil when it was on sale.

I’m still searching for my holy grail BB cream and had seen good things about the various Skinfood tea variants, and sample packs seem like the way to go for BB creams.

I’ve been desperately wanting to try the Skinfood Steam Milk Bubble Mask since the first time I laid my eyes on it, so I practically fist-pumped in victory when I saw this was part of the discounted selection. Just in time for fall and winter, when a more moisturizing treatment mask will be really helpful. Plus I’ve never tried a bubbling mask, I’m really curious about it!

And seriously, how cute is that packaging?! I loved the whipped-cream style bottle and the milk-box outer packaging. Sooooooo adorable, I might need to keep the outer box just for its pure cuteness factor.

Oh, look, more beverage-themed beauty products! I seriously think I might have a problem, haha.

I’ve been really curious about Shara Shara because the brand has so many interesting sounding products and super cute packaging, yet I almost never see anyone in the English-speaking beauty blogging community reviewing or talking about their stuff. I finally decided to jump in and give their Sake Ceramide Toner and Sake Ceramide Cream a shot, because they combine two ingredients that I’ve really loved before (in the aforementioned MBD Sake Yeast sheet masks and the Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid). And seriously, I can’t resist a toner that’s packaged in what’s basically a gorgeous miniature sake bottle. Yeah, this line is actually in frosted glass. Looks gorgeous, I just hope that I don’t drop anything!

I tried to resist the SU:M37 Miracle Rose Cleansing Stick hype train for as long as I could, I really did, but after the hype train turned into a full-blown hype carnival cruise or something, it just became an impossible thing to ignore. As mentioned earlier, I really do love rose in my skin and body care, and I was interested in trying a creamy, moisturizing cleanser at the correct pH for the winter. I’m planning on trying this after I finish up my current cleanser (the i belivyu Powder Wash Vitamin Face Cleanser). It certainly smells fantastic, just like roses and cream!

Here we have samples of Holika Holika’s Good Cera All-in-One Master, which is a ceramide-based toner/emulsion/essence hybrid. I’m interested in trying this and seeing how it compares to Dr. Jart+ Ceramidin Liquid, mostly because it’s like half the price! I see bottles of the Holika Good Cera range for like $18 as compared to the almost $40 for the Dr. Jart+ liquid. I’ll try this out and do a comparison post soon, since I’m very close to the end of my Ceramidin Liquid bottle!

I’ve used and really liked the Etude House Pink Powder Spot Patches before, so I bought a 5x pack of them while they were discounted. They’re not hydrocolloid bandages like Nexcare, but they protect and seal off a blemish while delivering spot treatment and they work really well – I’ve had unpopped, under-the-skin blemishes go down to flat overnight when I catch them early enough and slap one of these babies on it before bed. Plus they’re really thin and they adhere reallllly well, way better than pretty much any other AC patch that I’ve tried so far.

Extractor is self-explanatory, right?

Missha’s Super Aqua Oxygen Micro Deep Cleanser is another product that’s been getting good reviews, and as it’s at the 5.5 ideal pH, I decided to grab a sample pack and give it a shot.

I’ve never really heard much about Mamonde before, but I couldn’t resist the samples of the Mamonde Rose Oil & Salt Body Gel Scrub. It just sounds so luxurious! The sample says it has real rose petals and lots of moisturizing oils to soothe and hydrate your skin as the salt exfoliates away any dead skin build-up. Sounds lovely!

The Face Shop Strawberry Hand & Body Shiffon Cream is really nice, I’ve already been using it for a bit. The strawberry scent is less true-fruit and more candy-sweet, I feel like anyone who uses a lot of scented body products probably knows exactly what I mean when I say that, right? It’s light and absorbs well and doesn’t make you sticky, so I like it so far.

Last in this image is Skinfood’s Avocado Lip Balm, which I plan on using once the weather gets colder and my lips get super dry from the cold wind outside and dry heat inside. It smells nice, not super avocado-y, but more of a vague fresh scent.

I also ended up carrying the beverage-based beauty obsession into bath and body products as well, haha. Nature Republic Hawaiian Fresh Coffee Shower Gel, which is supposed to be firming and hydrating thanks to the coconut oil and kona coffee extract. Given my coffee addiction, of course I’d love to smell it in my morning shower too!

Unfortunately I’ve got an almost-full shower gel that I need to work through before I can open this, though, I just decided to jump on this while it was on sale.

Some more BB and CC cream samples! I got two mini-boxes of the hilariously-named Killing Me Zombie CC Cream SPF 30 (which actually has good reviews so far and does not give you undead creepy zombie skin, despite the weird-ass name) and Holika Holika’s Naked Face BB Cream SPF 50 (I have the Naked Face Concealer and like it quite a bit, so I decided to try a sample pack of the matching BB to see if it’s similarly awesome).

I’ve been interested in Skinfood’s Watery Berry line for awhile, so I grabbed sample packs of three parts of the regimen: Watery Berry Toner, Watery Berry Blending Cream (we’ll see if the appeal of getting to mess with the proportions of the cream in order to make my ideal texture outweighs the annoyance of fussing with said cream proportions every day, lol) and Watery Berry Ampoule.

I haven’t opened or tried these at all yet, but I hear the line smells really good and I love the pink and white tree design on the packaging!

Even more sample packs! Two serums: Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect Serum, which I’m interested in trying because of how much I like the Black Sugar Cleansing Oil, and Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum – I’ve heard such good things about the entire Innisfree Green Tea line, so I decided to test it out for my daytime serum option!

Then I have one each of the two Holika Holika Wine Therapy Sleeping Masks. I couldn’t decide which I wanted to try more, the white wine or red wine version, so I just got a pack with both varieties.

In the back, you can see the much-loved-by-bloggers Too Cool For School Pumpkin Sleeping Pack. Like everyone else in the world, I go crazy for pumpkin products in Autumn, so I’m excited to try this once the weather cools down!

Lastly, here are my for-real samples from Ruby Ruby Shop and Tester Korea, the ones I didn’t pay for!

From left to right, starting at the top left of the image:

Nature Republic California Aloe Sun Block SPF 50
Nature Republic Super Aqua Max Combination Watery Cream
Skinfood Quinoa Rich Body Wash
Missha Signature Complexion Coordinating B.B. Cream
Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence
Skinfood Black Pomegranate Cream
Nature Republic Super Origin Collagen B.B. Cream
Skinfood Black Sugar Perfect First Serum (more!)
It’s Skin Power 10 Formula WH Effector with Arbutin
Skin79 BB Cleanser
Skinfood Gold Caviar Cream

So, yeah… tons and tons and tons of new things to try, huh? I think I’m set on new skincare buys for quite some time now, tbh.

Are you guys are particularly interested in hearing my thoughts on any particular product in this haul? I’m open to trying certain items of interest before others, if anyone wants me to do so. Obviously some items, I can’t test until I finish a certain other product (like not wanting to open a full size cleanser before using up my current face wash), but you can still vote for them if you want me to know that you’d like that review prioritized! I’ve also included all the actual freebie samples in the poll, just bear in mind that they’ll be baby Sample Stash Quickie reviews.

You can vote for up to three products! The checkbox displays above the product name.

Haha, thanks for helping me make the hard choices in life, guys!

Now I need to take a deep breath and give myself a stern talking-to about how really real and serious this winter skincare no-buy is going to be. Totally. Gonna happen. Really forreal.

at least until /r/AsianBeauty enables some new obsession ORZ
